SHARON COOK
Connection to CPMS Athletics: My name is Sharon Cook and I am running for your 2026-2027 CPMS Athletics President. Next school year I will have two kids in the Athletics program here at CPMS. I will have Zoey in 8th grade who participated in Football, Basketball, Track and Field, and Soccer this school year, and hopes to do the same next year. I will also have Cody in 7th grade. Cody will be part of the inaugural Athletics (Non-Football) class.
Relevant experience: I am very familiar with being on school related boards, especially here at CPMS. I am one of the founding members of the athletics booster. Three years ago when the athletics booster was created I was on the board for two years as the secretary, and then this year I was the parliamentarian. I am also the current PTA president here at CPMS, and one of the current members of the CPMS Theatre Booster Board.
Why are you interested in this role: I am interested in being the Athletics Boosted President next year because I love this program. Middle school age is rough and these coaches do an amazing job at teaching these athletes responsibility, respect, and help make them better humans all around. Also, with one of my kids being a multisport athlete, and the other participating in the non football athletics class I feel like I will have great representations in this program. I am looking forward to the 2026-2027 school year. Go Leopards!

LESLIE RUCKER
Connection to CPMS Athletics: I’m Leslie Rucker and I’m running for the Vice President of Boys Sports. I’ve been fortunate to be involved in youth sports in Cedar Park for several years, both as a parent and a volunteer. I have an incoming 7th grade boy who is passionate about football, built to run track, a possible baseball player and also loves to play basketball and soccer.
Relevant experience: Two years ago I helped start this Booster Club, working with the coaches and the district to get it launched. My vision as a founder, and then as President, was to build an organization that supports our student-athletes, coaches and community, so I would be thrilled to continue that mission in a new role. Before that, I spent over six years volunteering with Cedar Park Youth Football Association in a variety of roles, including concessionaire, webmaster, marketing, Secretary, and eventually President. I also support the CPHS Football and Baseball Booster Clubs on various committees. In my professional career, I work in Human Resources leadership, which is where I’ve developed skills in organization, collaboration, engagement and management which are all skills I would bring to the CPMS Athletics Booster Club.
Why are you interested in this role: More important than any qualifications, I love this community and am proud to be a part of it so the opportunity to continue to serve in any capacity would be an honor.

PINA DOBIAS
Connection to CPMS Athletics: I’m a proud parent of two CPMS students, Jackson (8th grade) and Tripp (6th grade). Jackson is very active in sports, while Tripp enjoys the arts, giving me an appreciation for the wide range of interests and talents our students bring to the school community.
Relevant Experience: Over the years, I’ve volunteered in just about every season and in a variety of roles-from team parent to even stepping in as a coach (don't ask how that season went). This year, I’ve also been involved with both the events committee and the fundraising committee, helping support key initiatives behind the scenes. You’ll often find me working in the concession stand, helping on the chain gang during games, or stepping in wherever help is needed. I’ve also spent time organizing and rallying volunteers to make sure events run smoothly and everyone feels supported.
Why are you interested in this role: I’ve truly enjoyed connecting with other parents and being part of the CPMS athletics community. I’m passionate about continuing to strengthen that sense of community by supporting all boys’ sports and building excitement around each program. At the heart of it, I’m in this for the good of our school and our athletes. These years are special, and I hope to help create an environment that fosters lasting friendships, meaningful experiences, and great memories for our kids and families.
Thank you for your consideration.

TRACI MOBLEY
Connection to CPMS Athletics: I’m the parent of Jaxon Mobley, who will be in 7th grade and playing football and basketball. Our family is very involved in sports outside of school, and we understand how important these programs are to our kids and our community.
Relevant Experience: I served two years as President of the PTA at Naumann Elementary, where I led initiatives, worked closely with staff, and helped create a strong, supportive environment for students and families. My husband and I also own Kenzie Custom Pools, which we started two years ago. Running a small business has strengthened my leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and we have loved being able to give back to the community with our business.
Why I am interested in this role: I attended CPMS myself 25 years ago as a student athlete, so this is personal to me. I care deeply about the student-athlete experience and the role athletics plays in building confidence, discipline, and character. With our youngest just starting kindergarten, we are committed to this community for the long term. I want to be actively involved in supporting our coaches, strengthening communication, and helping ensure our boys’ athletic programs continue to grow and succeed.

Why are you interested in this role: I am interested in serving as Secretary of the CPMS athletic booster club because I am deeply committed to supporting our student-athletes and strengthening the foundation we’ve built over the past two years. As a founding member of the booster club, I have had the opportunity to help shape its purpose, processes, and impact, and I am motivated to continue contributing in a meaningful and consistent way. Equally important, I believe strongly in equity and equal support across all CPMS sports programs. Every athlete, coach, and family should feel supported and valued, regardless of the sport. I am passionate about helping ensure that resources, communication, and recognition are distributed so all programs can thrive.
